This privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information about our clients.
Types of personal information we collect from clients
Identity data
As with other professional services firms, we are required to identify our clients for the purposes of the UK anti-money laundering legislation. We may request from you, and retain, such information and documentation as we require for these purposes and/or make searches of appropriate databases. If we are not able to obtain satisfactory evidence of your identity, we will not be able to proceed with the engagement.
Contact data
Includes address, e-mail address and telephone numbers.
Transaction data
Includes data required to provide the accountancy and taxation services you want us to do for you. If you undertake business that requires you to be supervised by an appropriate supervisory authority to follow anti-money laundering regulations including if you accept or make high value cash payments of £10,000 or more (or equivalent in any currency) in exchange for goods you should inform us.

We collect data from and about you by direct personal interactions, filling in forms, or by correspondence with us by post, phone or e-mail.

With whom do we share your personal information
Any personal data received from you to comply with our obligations under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 (MLR 2017) will be processed only for the purposes of preventing money laundering, terrorist financing or proliferation financing. No other use will be made of this personal data unless use of the data is permitted by law or under enactment other than the MLR 2017 or UK GDPR, or we have obtained the consent of the data subject to the proposed use of the data.
How long we retain your personal information
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. In the case of Client Due Diligence information, we are required to retain identification verification for a period of 5 years after any business relationship or transaction has ended. We have procedures in place to ensure these details are retained and destroyed securely.
Your rights
Access to your information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information about you that we hold.
Correcting your information
We want to make sure your personal information is accurate, complete and up to date and you may ask us to correct any personal information about you that you believe does not meet these standards.
Deletion of your information
You have the right to ask us to delete personal information about you where:
You consider that we no longer require the information for the purposes for which it was obtained.
We are using that information with your consent and you have withdrawn your consent.
You have validly objected to our use of your personal information.
Our use of your personal information is contrary to law or our other legal obligations.

Where we use your personal information with your consent you may withdraw that consent at any time and we will stop using your personal information for the purpose(s) for which consent was given.
